As November 2025 unfolds, airlines are adjusting their schedules in line with the IATA Winter Season, which commenced at the end of October. A significant focus is on long-haul travel to the United States, particularly with the Airbus A380, which continues to play a vital role in transcontinental aviation. According to data from Cirium, a leading aviation analytics company, there are a total of 1,134 A380 flights planned to and from the US this month, offering 549,934 seats for travelers.

Emirates Leads the Pack

Emirates stands out as the largest operator of the Airbus A380, dominating the US-bound flights this November with a total of 420 flights across six routes. All flights originate from Dubai International Airport (DXB). The carrier provides daily services to major destinations, including Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK) via Milan (MXP), San Francisco (SFO), and Washington (IAD). Notably, Emirates operates a twice-daily route directly to JFK, bypassing Milan. The airline recently topped JFK Airport’s Fly Quiet Program rankings, demonstrating its commitment to minimizing noise pollution through operational strategies.

European Airlines Capitalize on High Demand

The route from Europe to North America remains one of the most lucrative in the aviation industry, making it an ideal market for the Airbus A380. British Airways leads European operators with 244 flights scheduled to the US this month. The airline’s most frequent route is from London Heathrow (LHR) to Miami (MIA), operating twice daily for most of November. Additionally, British Airways offers daily A380 services to Los Angeles and San Francisco, while flights to Washington will conclude on November 7.

Lufthansa has also scheduled 52 round trips to the US with its A380s this month. The flights are divided between Los Angeles, with 30 daily flights, and San Francisco, with 22 flights operating five times a week. A notable adjustment for Lufthansa is the absence of Denver (DEN) on its winter roster, although the airline plans to reinstate this route next summer.

Asia-Pacific Airlines Join the A380 Roster

Four additional airlines from the Asia-Pacific region are flying the Airbus A380 to the US this November. All Nippon Airways (ANA) operates a unique service featuring three aircraft adorned with special turtle liveries, flying between Tokyo Narita (NRT) and Honolulu (HNL). These flights will operate twice daily, resulting in 60 departures in each direction.

Qantas also plays a significant role in US-bound A380 operations, with flights originating from Sydney (SYD) to Los Angeles (28 rotations) and Dallas (17 rotations). Additionally, there are nine rotations from Melbourne (MEL) to LAX. The airline’s A380 configuration boasts 14 first-class seats, 70 business class seats, 60 premium economy seats, and 341 economy seats.

Korean Air offers a daily A380 service from Seoul Incheon (ICN) to New York JFK. Fellow South Korean carrier Asiana Airlines connects Seoul to Los Angeles with 39 rotations, translating to nine flights per week.

As airlines adapt their services for winter, the Airbus A380 continues to be an integral part of long-haul travel, connecting passengers to key destinations across the globe. With a strong focus on passenger capacity and comfort, these carriers are well-positioned to meet the demand of international travelers this season.
