cleanspace-strengthens-leadership-and-expands-services-nationwide

CleanSpace, based in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, is enhancing its position as a comprehensive cleanroom solutions provider. The company has announced significant leadership appointments and the expansion of services aimed at bolstering its role in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, and advanced manufacturing sectors. This strategic move is part of CleanSpace’s broader growth initiative.

Leadership Changes to Drive Company Growth

In February 2025, Nicholas Vermont was promoted to Chief Operating Officer, where he will oversee operations company-wide and focus on process optimization as CleanSpace continues to scale. Concurrently, Brian Bennett, who previously served as Vice President of Sales, has been elevated to Executive Vice President. In his new role, Bennett will lead the company’s commercial strategy and long-term market positioning.

April brought further changes as Robert Griffith was appointed Chief Strategy Officer and Mike Wieffering became Vice President of the CleanShield Division. Griffith, who has over 30 years of experience in sterile pharmaceutical facility management, will spearhead strategic growth initiatives for CleanShield. Wieffering, with a background spanning four decades in cleanroom project delivery and mechanical systems, will be responsible for operational execution and client service delivery.

Expanding CleanShield’s National Presence

In line with its growth ambitions, CleanSpace has launched a new office in Ferndale, Michigan, which will serve as the national headquarters for CleanShield services. This facility features a client showroom and technical workshop space, enhancing the company’s post-construction service offerings, which include:

  • Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV)
  • Maintenance programs and emergency response
  • Technical documentation and compliance support
  • Workforce development and training programs

This centralization of operations is designed to enable CleanSpace to deliver faster and more efficient services nationwide. It aims to bridge the gap between construction turnover and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) readiness.

Moreover, in July 2025, Julie Tareco was appointed Vice President of Preconstruction. With 28 years of expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, Tareco will enhance the company’s capabilities in the early phases of project delivery. She will oversee estimating, scope development, and value engineering to ensure clarity from project inception.

Glenn VandeGrift, President of CleanSpace, articulated a vision of transformation with these leadership changes. He stated that the company is evolving into a partner that supports clients “from concept to commercialization.” Through this aligned leadership team and expanded service footprint, CleanSpace aims to provide integrated solutions that ensure operational readiness and compliance.

“CleanSpace’s growth is more than operational,” VandeGrift said. “With our strengthened leadership team, deeper service offering, and expanded footprint, we’re delivering not just facilities—but commercialization certainty.”

With these strategic initiatives, CleanSpace is positioning itself to become a national leader in cleanroom design, construction, and post-construction services. This sets the stage for continued expansion and deeper partnerships with clients across various sectors.
