Altru Health System has officially relocated the Altru Heart and Vascular Center from its previous clinic location to the hospital in Grand Forks, effective November 24, 2023. This strategic move aims to enhance patient care by integrating cardiovascular services with hospital-based resources.
Improved Patient Experience Through Centralization
The Heart and Vascular Center has now found its new home on the sixth floor of the hospital. According to a press release from Altru, this relocation supports the organization’s ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional, patient-centered cardiovascular care. By bringing services closer together, patients will experience a more seamless and coordinated healthcare journey.
Key cardiovascular services, including EKGs, vascular ultrasounds, and echocardiograms, will now be available in one dedicated area. “Our patients will be able to come to the sixth floor as a one-stop shop for heart and vascular care,” said Jodi Stauss, the practice manager for Heart and Vascular and surgical specialty clinics at Altru. “Having our providers in a central location will help our team collaborate easily and will better serve the needs of our patients. Access to lots of natural light and beautiful artwork will put our patients at ease while we focus on healing their hearts.”
Part of Broader Hospital Enhancements
This relocation is part of a series of updates to the Altru Health System’s new hospital, which opened earlier this year alongside a new behavioral health care center. The timing of the Heart and Vascular Center’s move coincides with the recent opening of the hospital’s parking lot, which Annie Bonzer, the director of marketing and public relations, described as the “final important stage in our new hospital replacement project” during an interview with the local Herald.
With this relocation, Altru Health System continues to prioritize patient comfort and convenience, ensuring that vital cardiovascular care is easily accessible. The commitment to enhancing patient experiences reflects a broader trend in healthcare, where institutions aim to streamline services and improve outcomes through better resource allocation.
This latest development at Altru not only emphasizes the importance of integrated care but also highlights a growing focus on patient-centered approaches in modern healthcare settings. As the health system evolves, it remains dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of its community.
