BREAKING: Newly released surveillance video offers a harrowing glimpse into the chaotic moments leading to the tragic death of 21-year-old Adriana Gonzales outside Wayne’s Liquor in Southwest Fresno. The footage, unveiled in court, shows Gonzales stepping out of a sedan mere moments before she was fatally shot.

The video captures the frantic scene as investigators confirm Gonzales was visible through the vehicle’s window before stepping onto the parking lot. Fresno Police Department Detective Christopher Franks testified that the vehicle, a Kia, indeed made contact with Gonzales as it sped away, highlighting the chaotic circumstances surrounding her death.

The courtroom erupted in emotion as Gonzales’s family witnessed the graphic evidence. Many family members were brought to tears, with some leaving the courtroom unable to bear the distressing details.

Deputy District Attorney Kelly Smith questioned Franks about the shooting, leading to significant revelations about the alleged suspects. Devin Miliki Senegal and Aaminah Norman-Taquee are facing charges for Gonzales’s murder, both pleading not guilty. A third suspect, Sabrina Agosto-Ramirez, is charged as an accessory but remains at large.

Franks provided insight into the incident, stating that Senegal handed a handgun to someone inside the car just before the shooting, raising critical questions about their involvement. The defense team is actively working to exonerate the suspects. Defense Attorney Michael Aed inquired about the motivations behind the crime, to which Franks curtly replied, “I don’t know that why something happens matters.”

Adding to the emotional weight, Norman-Taquee’s mother took the stand, describing the abusive relationship involving the father of her daughter’s child. Her testimony painted a picture of a tumultuous environment, suggesting that the violence may not have been random. “I don’t believe it was random at all,” Franks asserted in court.

As the legal proceedings continue, a judge is set to determine on Wednesday if the evidence is sufficient to advance the case to trial. This decision could significantly impact the lives of all involved and the community grappling with the aftermath of this tragic event.
