BREAKING: A series of criminal incidents have been reported in Salisbury, NC, with significant developments occurring over the last week. Authorities confirm multiple thefts and drug-related arrests, raising concerns among local residents.

In a larceny incident, a vehicle was targeted in the 400 block of Park Avenue between 6 p.m. on January 23 and 10:25 a.m. on January 28, resulting in an estimated loss of $10. Just hours later, at 10:42 a.m. on January 28, shoplifting was reported in the 100 block of Mahaley Avenue, with losses totaling $8.

In a more serious case, police arrested Julia Elizabeth Clawson, 35, on January 28, charging her with felony theft of a motor vehicle and felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance. This arrest underscores the ongoing issues with vehicle theft in the area, as another vehicle theft was reported at Pineview Circle between 3 p.m. on January 22 and 1:27 p.m. on January 27.

Additionally, police are investigating two trespassing incidents: one in the 300 block of South Arlington Street at 6:53 p.m. on January 26, and another in the 600 block of Mocksville Avenue at 1:50 a.m. on January 29. These events were reported on January 28 and are currently under investigation.

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office also reported vandalism at West Rice Street in Landis at 7:50 a.m. on January 27, further contributing to the troubling pattern of crime in the region. Trespassing incidents were noted on Woodleaf Road in Salisbury at 3:58 a.m. on January 25, reported two days later on January 27.
