UPDATE: A man in his 20s was fatally shot on a Metro bus in South Los Angeles during a violent altercation, and the shooter remains at large as of this afternoon. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has launched an urgent manhunt following the incident that occurred near the intersection of Normandie Avenue and West 39th Street at approximately 1:58 p.m. on Wednesday.

Witnesses reported chaos on Metro Bus 206 when a dispute escalated among several individuals. During this altercation, one suspect opened fire, striking the victim. Emergency responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived on the scene but sadly pronounced the victim dead shortly thereafter.
