UPDATE: A devastating explosion rocked a residence in Chino Hills this afternoon, injuring eight people and prompting immediate evacuations. The incident occurred at 3:44 PM in the 4200 block of Sierra Vista Drive, according to the Chino Valley Fire District.
Fire officials confirmed that one home was completely collapsed, while several neighboring properties sustained minor damage. In total, 16 people were temporarily evacuated as crews rushed to the scene. Videos from the area depict flames still visible on nearby structures as night fell, underscoring the severity of the situation.
