The men’s cycling team Uno-X Mobility is preparing for a significant transition as it moves up to the WorldTour for the 2026 season. This shift will see the team competing in three Grand Tours, a substantial increase from the single Grand Tour it participated in last year. Founded as a development team in 2016, Uno-X Mobility progressed to ProTeam status in 2020 and made its Tour de France debut in 2023.
Gabriel Rasch, the head of sports for the team, expressed confidence in their ability to meet the challenges ahead. “We know it’s going to be a big challenge with even more WorldTour races,” he stated. “But with the strong group of coaches and performance staff we have around our riders, we believe we can support them to achieve their dreams and goals — together.”
To strengthen their team for this ambitious undertaking, Uno-X Mobility has announced the hiring of two new sports directors, Michael Blaudzun and Asbjørn Kragh Andersen. Kragh Andersen, who retired from the WorldTour following the 2022 season, is expected to enhance the team’s connection with younger riders. Meanwhile, Blaudzun has a wealth of experience, having transitioned to team management after a successful racing career that included victories in the Tour of Sweden and five Danish Championship titles.
“We wanted Michael to give us the extra depth in the Grand Tours, but also the week-long stage races we haven’t done before,” Rasch remarked. His experience as a rider and team manager will be invaluable as the team navigates the complexities of multiple Grand Tours.
In 2025, Uno-X Mobility celebrated several significant achievements, including its first Tour de France victory with rider Jonas Abrahamsen. Additionally, Tobias Halland Johannessen finished sixth overall, and Søren Wærenskjold claimed victory at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. As they prepare for next year, the team aims to broaden its ambitions by targeting a top 10 finish in the Giro d’Italia with Johannes Kulset, and to get closer to the podium in the Tour de France with Halland Johannessen. Their overarching goal includes winning stages across all three Grand Tours.
“It’s a big step for us to do three Grand Tours, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t ambitious,” Rasch said. “It’s always important for us to race as a unit with a common goal each day.”
The team is also set to welcome several new riders in 2026. Torstein Træen returns from Bahrain Victorious, while Anthon Charmig joins from XDS Astana. Sven Erik Bystrøm is moving over from Groupama-FDJ, and Alexander Kamp transfers from the merged Intermarché–Wanty. Additionally, 20-year-old Storm Ingebrigtsen makes the leap from Coop Repsol, and 21-year-old Tobias Svarre joins from Team Colo Quick.
“We’ve made some very interesting signings for next year,” Rasch commented. “And we can’t wait to get their full potential out. It’s important to us to keep developing our core, and we believe we’re taking the right steps to help our riders follow their dreams.”
As Uno-X Mobility gears up for this pivotal chapter, the cycling world will be watching closely to see how the team tackles the increased demands of the WorldTour circuit and strives for success in 2026.
