transcosmos launches AI training and annotation services leveraging talent across Japan and ASEAN

transcosmos Inc. has introduced a new suite of AI training and data annotation services specifically tailored for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean languages. Announced on December 25, 2025, this initiative addresses the growing demand for multilingual, specialized data annotation services, expanding beyond the predominant focus on English-language data.

Meeting the Demand for Specialized Data Annotation

The newly launched services cater to both specialized and company-specific data needs, regardless of their volume. Areas of expertise include geography, history, finance, and engineering. As the global demand for artificial intelligence continues to surge, organizations increasingly require annotation services that can handle complex data across various languages.

Utilizing a unique Human-in-the-Loop model, transcosmos draws on a diverse talent pool spanning Japan and other ASEAN countries. This workforce includes both full-time employees and gig workers, ensuring that clients benefit from professionals who possess in-depth knowledge in customer experience (CX) domains such as contact centers, digital marketing, and system development.

Services provided by transcosmos encompass a range of tasks, including:

  • Data collection from documents and images in specialized fields.
  • Labeling of images, voice recordings, and text.
  • Emotion analysis to gauge sentiment.
  • Data extraction from contracts.
  • Creation of dialogue scenarios and data generation.

This comprehensive approach ensures that clients can develop their own large language models (LLMs) while receiving tailored support for their specific services, products, and customer inquiries.

Streamlining Operations with Resource Management

To enhance operational efficiency, transcosmos is in the process of developing a resource management system. This system will centralize information on utilization rates, areas of expertise, certifications, qualifications, and work history. The goal is to register approximately 40,000 individuals, primarily company employees, enabling managers to match the right talent to the appropriate projects based on specific requirements and timelines.

Building on insights and expertise gained from previous data collection and annotation projects at the transcosmos AI Lab, the company aims to broaden its services to include more specialized data annotation areas and additional languages, extending its global reach beyond the ASEAN region.

Founded in 1966, transcosmos has established a strong presence with 184 bases in 36 countries, focusing on enhancing clients’ competitive strengths through superior service. With the expansion of e-commerce on a global scale, the company now provides comprehensive One-Stop Global E-Commerce Services, allowing clients to effectively deliver their products to consumers in 46 countries.

As transcosmos continues to evolve, it remains committed to being the “Global Digital Transformation Partner” for its clients, leveraging digital technology to adapt to the rapidly changing business landscape.
