UPDATE: The highly anticipated horror sequel, The Strangers: Chapter 2, is set to launch on digital platforms tomorrow, October 14. Fans eager for chills this spooky season can now buy or rent the film online, just in time for Halloween.
Directed by Renny Harlin, this sequel follows protagonist Maya Luca, played by Madelaine Petsch, as she grapples with the terrifying aftermath of an attack by masked assailants known as “the Strangers.” With her love, Ryan (played by Froy Gutierrez), lost, the stakes couldn’t be higher as she fights for survival.
Despite its gripping premise, The Strangers: Chapter 2 has struggled to resonate with audiences, garnering a mere 15 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and earning only $13.1 million at the global box office. If the film follows the release pattern of other Lionsgate titles, it could premiere on Starz approximately four months post-theatrical release.
Currently, Starz subscriptions are available for $10.99 a month, with enticing promotions like the first three months for just $0.99 each or a 12-month plan for $11.99 total, saving over $50.
