takkion-expands-leasing-at-fuller-industries-amid-major-cleanup

URGENT UPDATE: Takkion has just announced a major expansion at Fuller Industries Inc. in Great Bend, Kansas, leasing an additional 30,000 square feet of space. This brings their total leased area to 80,000 square feet, significantly boosting logistics operations for renewable energy projects across the United States.

This rapid expansion comes as Fuller Industries works to maximize its warehouse space, which spans 600,000 square feet. Takkion, based in Casper, Wyoming, specializes in logistics and services for the renewable energy sector. The components now stored at Fuller are critical for upcoming wind-power initiatives nationwide, according to Takkion Site Manager Nick Coghill.

“Up until a few weeks ago, we had only leased 50,000 square feet in the southeast corner of the facility,” Coghill explained. The newly acquired central floor space will house essential parts such as generators, control units, and transformers, all of which are crucial for the expanding renewable energy landscape.

This development is a significant boon for Fuller Industries. “It’s another source of revenue for us,” stated Joe Mann, general manager of Fuller. “Unused space gets utilized. It is a win-win for us and those we serve.” The partnership with Takkion not only enhances Fuller’s financial stability but also fosters collaboration within the local business community, as companies like Red Barn Pet Foods have previously leased space at Fuller.

The recent changes come amid an extensive cleanup effort at Fuller, which has been ongoing for months. The company is actively selling, scrapping, and recycling outdated machinery, some of which dates back over 50 years to the Fuller Brush era. Mann noted, “We have a lot of stuff out there… now, most of it is no longer of use.” This effort is not just about clearing space; it aims to enhance workflow and prepare for the installation of new product lines.

Fuller Industries is also collaborating with Great Bend Economic Development Inc. to promote its leasing opportunities. The intensive cleanup and reorganization efforts are strategic moves to adapt to the evolving manufacturing landscape while increasing efficiency.

As Fuller continues to optimize its operations and expand its offerings, the local economy stands to benefit from the increased activity and job opportunities generated by Takkion’s expansion and Fuller’s proactive approach to space management.
