URGENT UPDATE: StepStone Family and Youth Services of Georgia has just launched its annual “Wrapped in Love” blanket drive, running from February 2 to February 13, 2026. With the need for comfort and security among foster children at an all-time high, this initiative is critical for providing warmth to those most in need.

The drive is set to include multiple drop-off locations across the state, with three locations in Tifton to facilitate donations. Residents can donate blankets at the following sites:
– Absolute Beauty Salon, 801 Prince Ave.
– St. Paul Baptist Church, 45 Branch Road
– 105 W. Second St.

This important initiative, which began in 2020, directly addresses the challenges faced by foster youth who often lack personal belongings that make them feel at home. LaShay Wilson, executive director of StepStone Family and Youth Services, emphasized the significance of this drive in a recent statement:

“Oftentimes, foster youth move in and out of foster homes without an item that truly feels like their own or brings the comfort of home. This blanket drive is a powerful reminder that even a simple blanket can provide warmth, security, and a sense of belonging.”

With less than two weeks to donate, community members are urged to participate and make a tangible difference. By contributing, donors can help foster children experience a sense of security during their transitions.

StepStone has dedicated over five years to supporting foster children and families, providing essential training and resources. The drive not only highlights the organization’s commitment but also the community’s role in fostering resilience and care.

Residents are encouraged to learn more about the drive and StepStone’s other services by visiting their website at www.stepstoneyouth.com. Act now to ensure that no child goes without the comfort they deserve!
