Prince Harry and Argentine polo player Nacho Figueras spent a spirited weekend together in Aspen, Colorado, ahead of competing in the St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship. The two longtime friends enjoyed skiing and shared a meal at a high-altitude restaurant before the tournament began.

Harry competed on the Aspen Valley team, partnering with players Grant Ganzi and Nic Roldan, while Figueras represented the St. Regis team. Despite their roles as competitors during the championship, the pair was seen skiing together and enjoying each other’s company on the slopes. According to Hello, Harry appeared to be in good spirits, joined by several male friends during their outing.

Their friendship dates back to 2007, when they met at a charity tournament for Sentebale, an organization founded by Harry to support children in Lesotho and Botswana. Figueras was also a guest at Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle and appeared in a docuseries produced by the couple for Netflix.

Meghan did not attend the event, choosing instead to remain in Montecito, California, with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. However, she expressed her support by sharing a photo of Harry on horseback on her Instagram account. Earlier in December, Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, underwent a leg amputation in the Philippines. Reports indicate that she managed to deliver a letter to him, criticizing the British media for complicating private communications.

As Harry enjoyed his time in Aspen, it marked his first public appearance in weeks. He seemed to relish the boys’ weekend in the snow, a tradition he has maintained since childhood when he often spent vacations in cold locales like Switzerland. In 2024, he embraced sit-skiing during a training camp for the upcoming 2025 Invictus Games in Whistler and Vancouver, showcasing his commitment to both competitive sports and adaptive initiatives.

This weekend’s events in Aspen not only highlighted Harry’s love for polo and skiing but also underscored the enduring friendship between him and Figueras, as they balanced competition with camaraderie.
