The Beavers showcased remarkable resilience, overcoming a five-point deficit in the fourth quarter to secure the win. They dominated the final eight minutes, holding Saint Mary’s to just three field goals while executing a perfect 14 of 14 from the free-throw line during that stretch.
Oregon State’s pivotal moment came early in the fourth quarter, trailing 45-40. The Beavers unleashed a critical 9-0 run, taking command of the game and transforming the momentum. Despite the evenly matched contest—both teams shooting 40% from the field—the Beavers capitalized on their free-throw opportunities, finishing the game hitting 19 of 24 from the foul line.
The standout performers for Oregon State included Jenna Villa, who led all scorers with 16 points, Tiara Bolden with 13 points, and Kennedie Shuler contributing 10 points. Their combined efforts were crucial down the stretch, especially when Villa drew a double team and assisted Shuler for a critical three-point play that shifted the score to 58-54 with just 48 seconds remaining.
