URGENT UPDATE: A groundbreaking new housing project, the Wooten Station, is set to transform the landscape for young professionals in Leesburg, Georgia. Developer Milan Patel and his partners plan to break ground this fall 2023, with the first phase of 65 units expected to be completed within a year.

This innovative development aims to address a critical housing shortage for young professionals who often struggle to find suitable starter homes in the region. “This area needs nurses, young doctors, teachers, and engineers,” Patel stated emphatically. “We want to provide a community where they can live and thrive.”

The Wooten Station will feature 125 units designed specifically for young professionals, with amenities including a dog park, resort-style swimming pool, and mixed-use buildings. “This will not be ‘exclusive’ but tailored for young professionals looking for a vibrant community,” Patel added.

Patel, who has experienced both significant success and setbacks in his career, emphasized the importance of community in his developments. “There’s a part of me in every project,” he explained. “I want to ensure that our young graduates feel welcomed back to Albany and Leesburg.”

The development comes after initial concerns from some community members, but has since garnered support from Leesburg officials. “I’m thankful for the leadership in Leesburg,” Patel noted, highlighting the collaborative spirit among local developers.

The project’s location on U.S. Highway 19 will make it easily accessible for young professionals commuting to work. Patel envisions the Wooten Station as a catalyst for retaining local talent, stating, “If we can grow our population by 250 successful young professionals each year, we can significantly impact the community in just a decade.”

As the project gears up for its launch, Patel and his partners are already in discussions with local business owners about potential partnerships. “We’re excited about the possibilities this development will bring,” he said, looking forward to a future where young professionals can truly feel at home in the Albany/Leesburg area.
