lahaina-launches-monthly-healing-gatherings-starting-february-2026

The inaugural event of the Pa‘ūpili 3rd Saturdays will take place on February 21, 2026, in Lahaina Town. This monthly gathering aims to foster community healing and resilience among residents affected by the devastating wildfires that impacted Maui in 2023. The first event will be hosted at the Lahaina United Methodist Church and is designed to support connections among community members while showcasing local businesses.

The Maui Economic Recovery Committee (Maui ERC) has organized the event as part of its Healing Journey initiative. More than 13 vendors from Lahaina will participate, offering a variety of products and services rooted in the local community. The gathering will also feature free activities for children and a full day of live entertainment, highlighting performances from local artists, including Reiko Fukino, Namaka Pauole, Micah Manzano, and Da 3 Podageez.

Daryl Fujiwara, a representative of the Festivals of Aloha and the Maui ERC Healing Journey Team, emphasized the significance of this initiative. “Pa‘ūpili reflects the importance of coming together and supporting one another. We want our Lahaina community to return to the town first, safely and together,” he stated.

The event is free and open to everyone. Attendees will have access to parking at the Outlets of Maui as well as designated street parking in the surrounding area. The Pa‘ūpili 3rd Saturdays series is made possible with support from Maui United Way and 211 Hawaiʻi, the state’s comprehensive information and referral helpline.
