URGENT UPDATE: Children and families are invited to an exciting and interactive event, Create Your Own Yeti, happening at the Arlington Museum of Art on December 6, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This is a unique opportunity for kids to dive into the enchanting world of winter and the legendary yeti through storytelling and art.
Join the fun every other Wednesday at the Arlington Museum, located at 1200 Ballpark Way, Arlington 76011. This week’s Storytime promises to be a frosty adventure, featuring a theatrical reading of yeti-themed stories by a community member or a children’s librarian from the Arlington Public Library.
Parents can expect their children to engage not only in listening but also in a hands-on art activity where they will create their very own snowy yeti friends. This event is designed to boost creativity and listening skills while fostering a love for reading and art in a fun, social environment.
IMPORTANT: There is no admission fee and parking is free, but pre-registration is required—no walk-ins will be accepted. Upon pre-registering, families will receive an email confirmation to display at the parking entrance.
The event will be held in one of the museum’s vibrant settings, either the Community Gallery, Traditional Gallery, or Boardroom. Upon arrival, check in at the front desk to participate.
