UPDATE: Hasbro has officially announced the launch of a new line of Tron action figures, confirmed today at New York Comic Con. This exciting development will bring beloved characters from the classic 1982 film to life in a major way, with a crowdfunded collection titled Tron: Heroes of the Grid.

The Haslab crowdfunding campaign for these figures starts today, October 9, 2023, and will run through 11:59 p.m. ET on November 24, 2023. Fans can secure this deluxe set for $260, which is set to ship in fall 2026 if funding goals are met.

This highly anticipated collection features five 3.75-inch figures of iconic characters including Tron, Kevin Flynn, Yori, the nefarious Commander Sark, and a generic program. Each figure comes with multiple accessories, including identity discs that glow and special FX trails to replicate their action scenes.

Additionally, the set includes two Light Cycles—one blue and one yellow—designed to seat the figures and recreate the movie’s thrilling race sequences. A stunning 1:18-scaled display base replicates the electronic frontier of the Grid, featuring LED lighting to capture the film’s nostalgic ’80s vibe.

Hasbro is not stopping with this initial offering. The Heroes of the Grid marks the launch of the new Hasbro 375 series, which will produce additional 3.75-inch figures from the Tron franchise and potentially other properties in the future.

Excitingly, Hasbro confirmed that they are also developing 6-inch figures based on Tron: Legacy, although details are still under wraps. Fans are already speculating on the possible inclusion of a Daft Punk two-pack.

As the Tron franchise continues to gain traction, this launch represents a significant moment for collectors and fans alike. The blend of nostalgia, craftsmanship, and modern technology promises to make these figures a must-have item.
