UPDATE: The Greenville Eastern North Carolina (ENC) Alliance has just promoted David Horn to vice president of operations and strategic partnerships, a crucial role for the economic development organization. This announcement comes as the Alliance continues to expand its impact in the region, following Horn’s tenure as director of strategic partnerships since August 2020.

Josh Lewis, president and CEO of the Greenville ENC Alliance, praised Horn’s dedication, stating, “David has exemplified the characteristics we need in our organization.” This promotion highlights Horn’s significant contributions, which have included doubling the investor roster and securing over $4,800,000 in pledges for the organization’s FY 2024-29 capital campaign.

In his new capacity, Horn will oversee administrative support for the board of directors, manage municipal grants, and direct the organization’s IT needs. “It’s an honor to grow with the organization,” Horn stated, reflecting on the transformative impact of their initiatives in Greenville-Pitt County. Under his leadership, the Alliance has welcomed a record number of private sector investors, with 111 supporters pledging substantial financial backing.

Horn’s commitment to community development is evident through his work with Pitt Community College, where he has been instrumental in the award-winning career fair, Better Skills, Better Jobs. Now in its fifth year, this event attracts over 130 employers and 1,500 job seekers annually, solidifying its position as the largest career fair in eastern North Carolina.

Additionally, Horn actively contributes to various local initiatives, serving as co-chair of Grow Local, a workforce development program. His leadership extends to multiple boards, including the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau of Eastern Carolinas.

As the Greenville ENC Alliance looks to the future, this strategic promotion comes at a pivotal moment for the organization. With Horn at the helm, stakeholders are optimistic about enhancing economic development activities and fostering more robust partnerships in the region.

Stay tuned for updates as the Greenville ENC Alliance continues to make strides in promoting economic growth and community engagement. The next major event will be the Small Business Awards Breakfast on October 9, 2025, where local business leaders will be honored for their contributions.
