UPDATE: Four masked robbers have executed a shocking midday heist at Menashe & Sons Jewelers in West Seattle, stealing millions in jewelry in under two minutes on November 2, 2023. The audacious robbery, captured on surveillance video, unfolded at approximately 11:50 AM, leaving the staff and nearby businesses in a state of panic.

The thieves, armed with bear spray and a stun gun, smashed the locked glass door with a hammer, quickly emptying six display cases of valuable items, including an emerald necklace valued at $125,000 and approximately $750,000 worth of Rolex watches. “We’re pretty shook up as a staff,” said Josh Menashe, vice president of the family-owned store. “We’re gonna be closed for a while.”

Witnesses reported that the employees managed to escape to a nearby gym, where they sought help. “They came in telling us to call 911,” said Matthew Strommen, manager of Industrious Gym. “I was about to start a class… and then people come in yelling.”

The chaos left employees shaken, as they rushed to lock gym doors and secure the area until police arrived. “It was like 11:50 AM, I don’t think anyone was expecting something like that to happen in the middle of their workday,” Strommen added.

Authorities confirm that no one was injured during the incident, but the robbers fled in a getaway car before police could respond. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the Seattle Police Department is urging anyone with information to call 206-233-5000.

The robbery has raised serious concerns among local businesses, with many now reconsidering their security measures. The emotional impact on the staff at Menashe & Sons Jewelers is considerable, as they begin to assess their losses and the aftermath of this brazen crime.

As the investigation continues, the community is left on edge, wondering when these criminals will be brought to justice. Stay tuned for more updates as this story develops.
