BREAKING: Construction has officially commenced on a groundbreaking $8 billion luxury integrated resort in Singapore, set to redefine the skyline and enhance the Marina Bay area. The announcement was made during a star-studded ground-breaking ceremony on July 15, 2025, attended by Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and Las Vegas Sands co-founder Miriam Adelson.

This new resort, which has been dubbed Marina Bay Sands’ “fourth tower,” is not merely an extension of the existing Marina Bay Sands. Robert Goldstein, CEO of Las Vegas Sands, clarified, “If you came expecting to hear about an extension of MBS, you’ve come to the wrong party. This is a brand-new building with a brand-new identity.”

The ambitious project will feature a towering 55-story all-suite hotel, luxurious retail spaces, expansive gaming facilities, and 200,000 square feet of versatile meeting space. A centerpiece of the development will be the 76,000-square-foot Skyloop, which offers infinity-edge pools, private cabanas, and an observation deck surrounded by lush gardens.

The new resort aims to cater to both leisure and business travelers. In addition to 570 suites, the facility will host a state-of-the-art 15,000-seat arena, designed by Populous—renowned architects behind the iconic Sphere in Las Vegas.

Architectural visionary Moshe Safdie, whose firm Safdie Architects also designed the original Marina Bay Sands and Jewel Changi Airport, was present at the ceremony, highlighting the significance of this development for Singapore’s tourism landscape.

The timing aligns perfectly with Singapore’s “Tourism 2040” strategy, introduced earlier this year, which aims to triple tourism revenue from business travelers attending meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions. This ambitious initiative underscores Singapore’s commitment to attracting world-class leisure travelers with unparalleled entertainment options and luxury accommodations.

The new resort will not only elevate Singapore’s status as a premier global destination but also create thousands of jobs, providing an immediate economic boost to the region.

As part of a broader strategy to enhance the island’s tourism infrastructure, Singapore has recently launched several high-profile projects, including its first all-villa resort, Raffles Sentosa Singapore, and the upcoming Oceanarium attraction set to open next week.

Stay tuned for more updates as this landmark project progresses and transforms the Marina Bay landscape, promising to draw millions of visitors to Singapore in the coming years. This development represents a pivotal moment for both Las Vegas Sands and Singapore, marking the beginning of a new era in luxury tourism.
