BREAKING: The BOLD girls basketball team delivered a stunning performance, overpowering the Montevideo Thunder Hawks with a staggering score of 114-21 in a West Central Conference showdown on January 12, 2024. This commanding victory positions BOLD at a remarkable 5-2 overall and solidifies their undefeated 3-0 record in the WCC.

The standout player of the night was Lilly Henriksen, who scored an astonishing 38 points, including a game-high 11 steals. Remarkably, Henriksen netted 34 points in the first half alone, helping BOLD race to an overwhelming 72-13 lead at halftime. Alongside her, Ema Flann, a promising 5-foot-4 freshman guard, contributed significantly with 22 points, eight assists, six rebounds, and five steals.

The Warriors showcased exceptional teamwork with a total of ten players contributing to the scoring. Kya Elfering, a 5-foot-10 senior forward, added 14 points, while Erika Martinson, a 5-foot-6 sophomore guard, rounded out the scoring with 11 points. The Thunder Hawks, still searching for their first win of the season, fell to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in the WCC.

BOLD will host Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 15, 2024, in Bird Island, while Montevideo prepares to face Lakeview at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
