UPDATE: Avis Budget Group, Inc. has just announced a groundbreaking service aimed at luxury travelers: the new Avis First curbside rental car experience. This innovative offering redefines car rentals by delivering vehicles directly to customers at the airport, eliminating the need for long waits at rental counters.
Travelers landing at major airports in Denver, Honolulu, Palm Beach, and Fort Lauderdale can now enjoy this premium service. The rollout includes key markets such as Manhattan, Chicago, San Francisco, Miami, Orlando, Washington, D.C., and Seattle. Customers can book their Avis First experience through the Avis app, ensuring a seamless transition from landing to departure.
The service is designed for elite travelers who value convenience and comfort. Upon arrival, a personal concierge will be waiting curbside with the customer’s upscale rental vehicle, prepped to their ideal temperature. As the car is delivered, the concierge will assist in connecting personal devices via Apple CarPlay, enhancing the travel experience from the very start.
Avis aims to make the drop-off process equally luxurious. Customers can return their vehicles at departures, and there’s no need to refuel—Avis will handle it, charging customers only the market price for gas.
Brian Choi, CEO of Avis Budget Group, stated, “With Avis First, we’re taking innovation even further, setting a benchmark that exceeds the expectations of today’s most demanding travelers.” This service not only caters to the luxury market but also reflects Avis’s commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction.
The announcement comes at a time when premium travel options are increasingly sought after. As airlines and hotels elevate their offerings, Avis First stands out by providing a distinct blend of convenience and luxury in the car rental sector.
Andres Barry, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for the Americas, described Avis First as a service tailored for those who demand more, emphasizing its focus on delivering curbside service and premium vehicles. “It’s not just about getting from A to B faster; it’s about offering something distinct for those who value the luxury of time and service just as much as the drive itself,” Barry explained.
This new service is expected to reshape how affluent travelers approach car rentals, making it a significant development in the industry. With the convenience of curbside delivery and the personalized touch of concierge service, Avis First is poised to become a favorite among luxury travelers.
