Microsoft has unveiled a significant update for Windows 11, introducing a range of new AI-powered features aimed at enhancing user experience. This update is currently being rolled out and is available for users on Copilot+ PCs, particularly those equipped with Snapdragon processors.
Among the notable additions is a new AI agent in the Windows Settings. This feature enables users to change settings simply by describing their needs, making it easier to customize their devices without navigating through menus. Users can input queries such as “change my resolution to 1920×1080” or “connect Bluetooth device,” and the AI will provide relevant options. This functionality is designed to streamline the user experience, allowing for quick adjustments to connectivity and accessibility settings.
Enhanced Photo Editing with Relight Feature
Additionally, the update introduces the Relight feature in the Photos app, which enhances photo editing capabilities. Users can now manipulate lighting in their images by placing up to three virtual light sources, adjusting parameters such as intensity and color. This feature caters to both amateur and professional photographers looking to refine their images with minimal effort.
To utilize this feature, users need to open the Photos app, select an image, and navigate to the editing options where they can apply the Relight adjustments. Currently, this feature is also limited to Snapdragon X Series-powered Copilot+ PCs, but support for Intel and AMD devices is expected in the future.
New Tools and Upgrades in Click To Do and Snipping Tool
The Click to Do functionality has also been enhanced with new actions tailored to daily tasks. Users can now engage with features like Practice in Reading Coach to improve reading fluency, or use the Immersive Reader to personalize their reading experience. These tools provide practical support for productivity and learning.
Meanwhile, the Snipping Tool has been upgraded to include a “perfect screenshot” feature, which automatically crops and resizes captures based on the content. Additionally, a color picker tool has been added, allowing users to identify color codes from their screen. These updates are aimed at boosting efficiency and creativity for users engaging in visual tasks.
