Improving safety in portable power solutions, Better Mobile Xperience (BMX) has unveiled its new line of SolidSafe™ battery packs. These innovative Qi2 magnetic battery packs are designed to enhance charging safety, utilizing advanced solid-state battery technology that significantly reduces the risks associated with traditional lithium-ion batteries.
The SolidSafe™ range features a solid-state design that eliminates the flammable liquid electrolytes found in conventional battery packs. This shift addresses critical safety concerns as the industry faces increasing scrutiny, particularly following over 1.7 million global battery pack recalls since March 2025. The new battery packs will be available for purchase on the BMX website starting from $79, with wider availability on Amazon U.S. expected in January 2026.

Innovative Features and Performance
The SolidSafe™ lineup is designed to perform optimally even under extreme conditions. BMX conducted a controlled test where they drilled into a fully charged SolidSafe™ unit, resulting in no smoke, swelling, or ignition. This resilience showcases the advantages of solid-state chemistry, which is less prone to overheating and physical damage.
The SolidSafe™ series offers three battery capacities: 5K, 10K, and 10K+ with microSD expansion. Each model supports Qi2 15W fast magnetic wireless charging, along with up to 30W USB-C input and output for rapid device charging. The inclusion of a full-color LCD display provides real-time updates on battery percentage, wattage, and device status, enhancing user experience and convenience.
Additionally, the 10K+ model incorporates onboard microSD storage, catering to users who need extra file access on the go. The sleek, travel-ready design is available in various colors, including Black, Orange, Blue, and Silver for the 5K and 10K models, while the 10K+ microSD variant is offered in Black.
Availability and Pricing
BMX plans to officially launch the SolidSafe™ magnetic battery packs in December 2025. The pricing structure for the different models is as follows:
– SolidSafe™ 5K – MSRP: $79 (Ultra-slim, everyday carry)
– SolidSafe™ 10K – MSRP: $99 (Extra capacity for long days)
– SolidSafe™ 10K+ microSD – MSRP: $129 (For extra storage, available in February 2026)
