The TKO Group has implemented strict regulations regarding the distribution of complimentary WWE tickets, significantly impacting talent and former wrestlers. During a recent appearance on TMZ’s Inside the Ring podcast, Lana, who holds a Legends contract with WWE, shared that she purchased her own ticket to the recent Survivor Series: WarGames event. This change reflects a broader shift in ticketing policy since TKO’s acquisition of WWE.
Lana explained that under the new guidelines, all talent, including her husband Rusev, must now buy their own tickets. She noted that attending events to support friends, such as Liv Morgan, has become an expensive endeavor. “It’s a little weird situation. I think that’s all TKO,” she remarked, highlighting the recent changes in ticketing.
Survivor Series: WarGames, which took place over the weekend, saw Lana needing to secure her own entry. She also mentioned that Rusev had to spend approximately $5,000 to bring family members to his debut at WrestleMania, indicating the financial burden that the new rules impose on talent.
The former wrestler expressed her understanding of the situation, stating, “I don’t have a problem paying for tickets, because I believe in these people. I believe in Liv Morgan. Of course I’m going to buy a ticket for her return.” This sentiment underlines her appreciation for the sport and her colleagues, despite the challenges posed by the updated ticketing system.
Lana’s comments align with those from other former WWE talent, including Scarlett Bordeaux, who also noted the difficulties in obtaining complimentary tickets in the TKO era. Bordeaux mentioned that the rising ticket prices have sparked discussions among WWE talent, illustrating a shared concern within the locker room about the evolving financial landscape.
While changes like these can be seen as burdensome, Lana remains committed to supporting her friends and the wrestling community. “I love wrestling in general. Of course we’re going to go see Miro,” she added, referring to her husband Rusev by his ring name.
As TKO Group continues to refine its policies, the impact on talent and fans alike becomes increasingly evident. The new ticketing rules not only reflect a shift in corporate strategy but also highlight the personal adjustments wrestlers must make in their professional lives.
