
Over 20 student-athletes from the Teche Area have been recognized for their academic excellence on the LHSAA Fall All-Academic list. This prestigious accolade highlights the achievements of student-athletes who excel in both their sports and academics, showcasing a commitment to maintaining a high standard of education alongside athletic competition.
Highland Baptist and Hanson Memorial led the local schools with five honorees each. To qualify for the All-Academic honors, student-athletes must achieve an unweighted grade point average of at least 3.5 over six semesters while participating in sports for a minimum of two years. Additionally, those who maintained a perfect GPA of 4.0 across all six semesters received the Composite Team honor.
Each student-athlete will be awarded at their respective sport’s state championship event during the current season, recognizing their hard work and dedication.
