Former Iowa State standout and current New York Jets running back Breece Hall is gearing up for his fourth season in the NFL, now with quarterback Justin Fields at the helm. Fields recently expressed his admiration for Hall’s skills, particularly highlighting his catching ability.

“When I first got to the Jets, Breece Hall’s hands surprised me,” Fields stated. He recalled a remarkable touchdown catch from Hall during the previous season against the Tennessee Titans. “You can tell which guys have natural hands, and he does. He had a number of catches yesterday from the receiver spot, the slot, and coming out of the backfield to catch the ball. He’s a great weapon to have, and I’m sure we’re gonna utilize him in that way,” Fields added.

Hall’s versatility has been evident throughout his career with the Jets. In the 2024 season, he rushed for 876 yards and scored five touchdowns, while also contributing significantly in the passing game with 57 receptions for 483 yards and three touchdowns. His performance showcases his dual-threat capability as both a rusher and a receiver.

This talent was also on display during Hall’s collegiate career at Iowa State, where he had an impressive senior season, rushing for 1,464 yards and tallying 20 touchdowns. He added to his offensive contributions with 36 receptions for 302 yards and three touchdowns.

As Hall prepares for the upcoming season, the confidence expressed by Fields may indicate a promising year ahead. With only one year left on his rookie contract, Hall has the motivation to elevate his game and make a significant impact.

As the Jets aim for success in the upcoming NFL season, Hall’s ability to perform at a high level will be crucial. The combination of his skills and Fields’ recognition of his talent could lead to exciting developments for the team and its fans.
