President Donald Trump publicly defended Attorney General Pam Bondi on Saturday, responding to criticism from segments of his support base regarding the release of a memo associated with the late accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that Bondi is doing “a FANTASTIC JOB” in her current role.

Trump’s remarks came after the memo, which concluded there was no evidence Epstein maintained a “client list” or experienced foul play leading to his death, sparked significant backlash. Some Trump allies, including right-wing activist Laura Loomer, have openly called for Bondi’s dismissal following the memo’s release.

The president expressed his discontent with the criticisms directed at Bondi, stating, “What’s going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals?’ They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB!” He emphasized unity within his political movement, asserting, “We’re on one Team, MAGA,” and criticized what he described as “selfish people” attempting to undermine his administration over Epstein’s legacy.

In a broader context, the fallout from the Epstein memo has reportedly created tension between the FBI and the Department of Justice. According to CNN, Dan Bongino, the Deputy FBI Director, is contemplating resignation due to this discord. Trump appeared unconcerned with the details of the investigation, telling reporters at the White House, “I can’t believe you’re asking a question on Epstein at a time like this.”

In his Saturday post, Trump reiterated his frustration with the ongoing focus on Epstein, stating, “For years, it’s Epstein, over and over again.” He took the opportunity to criticize various political adversaries, including former President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, claiming they were responsible for creating what he referred to as the “Epstein Files.”

Trump questioned why these “Radical Left Lunatics” had not released any damaging information that could have impacted the MAGA movement. He suggested that if there were any incriminating details, they would have been utilized against him.

The president also urged Kash Patel, the FBI Director, to prioritize other investigations, specifically those related to voter fraud and political corruption, rather than continuing to delve into Epstein-related documents. “LET PAM BONDI DO HER JOB — SHE’S GREAT!” he concluded, dismissing Epstein as “somebody that nobody cares about.”

This ongoing situation underscores the complexities surrounding the Epstein case and the political dynamics at play within Trump’s administration.
