David graduated from Bishop Montgomery High School and furthered his education at community colleges in Torrance, California, and Pasco, Washington. In 1980, he married Nancy Erd, and they later moved to Richland, Washington, where they raised four children, instilling in them the values of hard work and perseverance.
A Career of Dedication at Hanford
David began his professional journey at the Hanford Nuclear Site, initially taking on the role of a bus driver. His commitment and work ethic enabled him to advance through various managerial positions, ultimately serving as the Manager of Retrieval Operations at the Tank Farms. David retired from this role, leaving behind a legacy of leadership and dedication.
In 2023, David and Nancy relocated to Sandpoint, Idaho, to enjoy the home they built together, a testament to their shared dreams and aspirations. Throughout his life, David was known as a tireless provider and caregiver, embodying the spirit of a loving husband and father.
A Life Remembered by Family and Friends
David’s reserved demeanor masked a quick wit and a clever sense of humor. Those close to him knew that his playful teasing was a sign of fondness and affection. He was not only a devoted father to his four children—Darlene (Jose) Bejar, Wendy, David (Juliana), and Heather—but also a cherished grandfather to eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
David is survived by his wife, Nancy; his children; his grandchildren; and his brother, William (Roni). He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Carol.
