Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has deported Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, a Mexican national with a criminal history, after Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan was charged with obstructing his arrest. Flores-Ruiz, who crossed the southern border into the United States in 2013, was initially apprehended by Border Patrol agents in Nogales, Arizona. According to Tricia McLaughlin from the Department of Homeland Security, “Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, a previously removed illegal alien, has a laundry list of violent criminal charges. Judge Hannah Dugan’s actions to obstruct this violent criminal’s arrest take ‘activist judge’ to a whole new meaning.” McLaughlin emphasized the commitment of ICE agents to enforce immigration laws, stating, “If you are here illegally and break the law, we will hunt you down, arrest you, and remove you from our country. That’s a promise.”
