The community is in mourning following the peaceful passing of Patricia Isajiw, a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother, who died on September 16, 2025, at the age of 82. Patricia’s life was dedicated to her family and the betterment of her community, leaving a legacy of love and compassion.

Born on July 22, 1943, in Gloversville, New York, Patricia was the daughter of Margaret and Joseph Cahill. She spent her formative years in New Jersey and Philadelphia, where she established a successful career as a hospital administrator. It was in this vibrant city that she met her husband, Dr. George Isajiw. Together, they built a nurturing family in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, where they raised seven children.

Patricia was not only a devoted mother but also an active member of her community. She volunteered at St. Laurence School, providing support to students and families alike. Her compassion extended further as she mentored young women facing unplanned pregnancies, offering both shelter and guidance during challenging times. Alongside her husband, she worked diligently in their medical office, embodying a spirit of partnership and dedication.

Her contributions did not go unnoticed. Patricia will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and unwavering strength. She touched the lives of many, fostering a sense of joy among family and friends. Surviving her are her husband, Dr. Isajiw; her siblings, Peggy Gray, Joe Cahill (Margie), and Kathy Razzi (Domenick); and her seven children: Kelly Caviston (Sean), David Isajiw, Peter Isajiw (Deanna), Michael Isajiw (Kathryn Willcox), and Dan Isajiw (Christine).

The family is also grieving the loss of Patricia’s daughter, Colleen Melchiorre, and son, Andrew F.X. Isajiw. Patricia leaves behind a large family, including fifteen grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on September 26, 2025, from 18:00 to 20:00 at the Donohue Funeral Home, located at 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on September 27, 2025, at 12:30 PM at St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082.
