Local communities are set to celebrate the arrival of autumn with a series of events across various churches in the region. Activities include harvest festivals, bazaars, and special worship services, all aimed at fostering community spirit and unity.

Harvest Festival at Hope Presbyterian Church

The **Hope Presbyterian Church** in Spicer will host its fall harvest festival on **October 11, 2025**, from **8 a.m. to 1 p.m.** Attendees can enjoy morning coffee and rolls, followed by a lunch featuring soup, chili, and sandwiches. The festival will also showcase local garden produce, plants, used books, puzzles, games, crafts, and a bake sale, offering something for everyone.

Annual Bazaar and Soup Supper Events

Simultaneously, the **Willmar United Methodist Church** will hold its annual fall bazaar on the same day, from **9 a.m. to noon**. This event will feature handmade gifts and homemade food specialties, accompanied by morning coffee and rolls for attendees.

Later in the day, the **Crow River Lutheran Church** in Belgrade will offer a soup and sandwich supper from **4 p.m. to 7 p.m.** Patrons can enjoy a selection of soups, including taco, cream of potato and ham, and vegetable beef, along with sloppy Joes and hot turkey sandwiches. Desserts and beverages will also be available for a freewill donation, with take-out options offered. The evening will conclude with an auction starting at **7 p.m.**

Worship Services and More

On **October 12, 2025**, **Tripolis Lutheran Church** in rural Kandiyohi will invite the community to a worship service themed “Jesus Christ is the Light of the World,” beginning at **7 p.m.** This service, supported by six local churches, aims to promote unity and healing. A fellowship gathering will follow the 30-minute prayer service.

The following weekend, on **October 18, 2025**, **Zion Irving Lutheran Church** in Hawick will host a harvest sale featuring crafts, produce, and baked goods. The event will commence with a scalloped potatoes and ham meal for a freewill donation from **5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.**, leading into an auction at **7 p.m.**

Finally, the **Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church** in Benson will celebrate its **70th annual Norwegian smorgasbord** on **October 22, 2025**, from **4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.** The menu will include traditional dishes such as roast pork, meatballs, and various breads and relishes. Tickets are priced at **$20 for adults** and **$10 for children ages 7-12**, while children under six can attend for free.

These events not only highlight the rich traditions of the community but also provide opportunities for residents to come together, share meals, and engage in fellowship.
