The ASPCA® (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) has been selected as the national charity partner for the eighteenth consecutive year in Subaru’s 2025 Share the Love® Event. This initiative aims to support the rescue, care, and adoption of animals in need across the United States. From November 20, 2025, through January 2, 2026, Subaru will donate $250 for each new vehicle sold or leased to the customer’s choice of participating charities, including the ASPCA.

Since the partnership began in 2008, Subaru has contributed over $41 million to the ASPCA, facilitating the rescue, care, and adoption of more than 142,000 animals nationwide. This collaboration highlights the commitment of both organizations to enhance the lives of animals throughout the country.

Impact of the Subaru Partnership

The funding from last year’s Share the Love Event significantly aided the ASPCA’s lifesaving efforts. The contributions have helped rehabilitate dogs that were severely fearful and under-socialized, particularly those rescued from puppy mills and hoarding situations. Additionally, Subaru’s support has reinforced the ASPCA’s response to natural disasters and animal cruelty, allowing for timely intervention in crisis situations.

Moreover, the funds assist in providing essential and preventive veterinary services to underserved pet owners, making veterinary care more accessible and affordable. This initiative directly improves the health and welfare of pets, contributing to the overall mission of ending animal cruelty.

Statements from ASPCA Leadership

Matt Bershadker, president and CEO of the ASPCA, expressed gratitude for Subaru’s ongoing support. “We’re grateful to Subaru for their longstanding support of the ASPCA and their dedication to the wellbeing of shelter pets across the country. With their help, we’re able to reach more animals in need and strengthen the lifesaving work of shelters nationwide,” he stated. Bershadker emphasized the collective impact of their work, noting, “Together, our work has positively impacted nearly 250,000 animals to date and demonstrates what’s possible when corporate compassion meets local action.”

In conclusion, the Subaru Share the Love Event represents a powerful partnership between a leading automotive company and a prominent animal welfare organization. As both entities work together, they continue to create a lasting impact on the lives of countless animals in need.
