nordland-lutheran-church-hosts-annual-tractor-run-fundraiser

Nordland Lutheran Church in rural Paynesville will host its 18th annual tractor run on July 12, 2025, in memory of three community members: Nate Johnson, Russell Schmidt, and Phillip Olson. The event kicks off from the church parking lot located at 18510 180th Ave. N.E. Participants can enjoy doughnuts and coffee starting at 09:00, with the tractor run officially beginning at 10:00 and expected to return around noon.

This year’s tractor run offers an array of delicious food options, including hamburgers, brats, and liver and onions, available for a freewill offering. All tractor enthusiasts are invited to participate, with hay racks provided for those who prefer to ride along without driving. Participants are reminded to attach slow-moving vehicle signs or flashing lights to their equipment for safety.

For more information regarding the event, interested parties can contact Rick Thompson at 320-249-7543.

Ice Cream Social at United Lutheran Church

In addition to the tractor run, the community is invited to an ice cream social at United Lutheran Church in Lake Lillian on July 16, 2025. The event will take place from 17:00 to 19:00 and will feature a variety of food options, including barbecues, hot dogs, beans, chips, watermelon, pies, and, of course, ice cream. Beverages will also be served, with a freewill offering to support the church’s activities.

These events not only celebrate local traditions but also foster community spirit, bringing together residents for good food and fellowship.
