A new summer food trail, named Moos and Brews, is set to debut in Vacaville on July 15, 2025. This initiative, promoted by Visit Vacaville, aims to celebrate the local culinary scene by offering a variety of delicious options. Participants can explore an array of juicy burgers, refreshing brews, and whimsical milkshake creations from numerous local establishments.
The food trail includes a diverse selection of venues. Diners can enjoy burgers from Buckhorn BBQ and Journey Downtown, while local breweries such as The Library at Journey Downtown and Solano Brewing Co. will provide a refreshing complement. Additional options include burgers and brews from Backdoor Bistro, Brass Tap, and 519 Main. For those craving sweet treats, Original Mel’s and Fenton’s Creamery will serve both burgers and milkshakes, while Makse Restaurant and Creekside Ice Cream will offer the full range of trail items.
“We’ve had great feedback from restaurants and locals on our previous food trails, so we wanted to bring a new spin for summer,” said Alyssa Pardini, president and chief executive officer of Visit Vacaville. “Moos & Brews has something for everyone.”
Participation in the trail is straightforward—there is no need for advance sign-up. Diners simply follow the trail map available on the Visit Vacaville website and visit participating establishments. To incentivize participation, those who bring three receipts from different participating restaurants to the Visit Vacaville office can receive a free Moos & Brews koozie, available while supplies last.
The Visit Vacaville office is situated at 1671 E. Monte Vista Ave., Suite N-110, in the Nut Tree Plaza shopping center, conveniently located across from the train station. For further details, including the trail map, visit visitvacaville.com/moos-brews.
This initiative represents a continued effort by Visit Vacaville, the official destination marketing organization for the city, to encourage local tourism and support the community’s vibrant dining scene. With a variety of culinary offerings, the Moos and Brews trail promises to be a delightful summer experience for both locals and visitors alike.
