N. Louis “Lou” Capetola, a distinguished veteran and investment specialist, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, in Malvern. He was 89 years old. Born on May 14, 1936, he was the eldest son of the late Angelo and Antoinette Giurastante Capetola.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Army Infantry, Lou served his country before pursuing higher education. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1964. Following his academic achievements, he embarked on a remarkable career at MassMutual, where he dedicated over 50 years of service, ultimately rising to the position of Chief Investment Specialist.
Lou’s professional life was matched by his commitment to family and community. He was known for cherishing quality time with loved ones, and he had a profound passion for the outdoors, particularly gardening. His Italian heritage and roots in Cedar Hollow were sources of pride, and he celebrated his culture throughout his life.
Traveling, following Penn State football, and enjoying theater and art were among Lou’s many interests. He was predeceased by his parents and his long-time partner, Marlene Wechsler. He is survived by his brother, Emil Capetola (Elizabeth McMurtrie), his sister, Melina (Capetola) Kendig, along with one nephew and six nieces.
A Mass in celebration of Lou’s life will take place on December 10, 2025, at 11:30 AM at St. Patrick Church in Malvern. Visitation will commence at 10:00 AM. For those wishing to honor his memory, further details can be found on the Alleva Funeral Home website.
