Motorcycling Santas are embarking on a charity ride today to support the Children’s Hospice South West. The group, dressed in festive attire, will set off from Taunton at 10:00 and is expected to arrive at Little Bridge House in Fremington around 14:30. This annual event is dedicated to raising funds for the hospice, which provides essential support for children with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Riders from various regions, including Devon, Somerset, Cornwall, Dorset, Avon, Wales, and Gloucestershire, will join the festive convoy. This year’s event promises to bring together a community of bikers and festive characters, all united for a noble cause.
Midway through the journey, the bikers will pause in the centre of South Molton at noon to participate in a fundraiser organized by the Mayor for Children’s Hospice South West. During this hour-long stop, attendees can look forward to a variety of activities, including carol singing, market stalls, and a Christmas Pannier Market featuring local vendors.
Additionally, the convoy will make a brief stop at Venn Valley Winery near Landkey at approximately 13:20. This stop provides an opportunity for participants to gather, enjoy the festive atmosphere, and continue raising awareness for the hospice’s mission.
The event is not only a celebration of the holiday spirit but also a crucial fundraiser that highlights the importance of community support for families in need.
