A vibrant art exhibition titled “Beyond the Rainbow” has opened at the Medina Library in Medina, Ohio. The show features the work of the local artist collective known as Women In Art, and will be on display in the B. Smith Gallery on the library’s third floor until September 28, 2023. The exhibit opened following a reception held on September 7, and is accessible during regular library hours.
The title of the exhibit reflects the artists’ exploration of the color spectrum. According to the collective, “In this year’s exhibit and sale, we explore the color spectrum, each creating a painting in one of the seven colors of the spectrum, as well as black.” The artists emphasize the significance of color in their work, stating, “Color can be anything one wants it to be; it can be angry, happy, mysterious, cold, hot, etc.”
