According to a news release from the Lakes Area Patriots, the funds will directly enhance the support provided by Health Resources. This organization plays a crucial role in the community by offering services such as free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, STI testing and treatment, lactation consultations, and parenting education. All services are provided confidentially and at no cost, catering to individuals from diverse income backgrounds.

The decision to donate was partly inspired by a challenge from another local organization that had contributed funds to the Becker County Food Pantry. Mueller explained that the board voted unanimously to respond to this challenge by supporting a cause they found equally deserving. “We found no cause more worthy than that of providing expectant and new mothers with the support and resources available from this wonderful organization,” he added.
