Lafayette is launching a Halloween costume exchange aimed at promoting sustainability in the community. Running through September 29, 2023, the initiative encourages residents to donate any unwanted, gently used costumes from previous years. Costumes can be dropped off at the Lafayette Public Library, located at 775 W. Baseline Road, the Bob L. Burger Recreation Center at 111 W. Baseline Road, or the Erie Community Center at 450 Powers St..
The collected costumes will be available for selection at the city’s upcoming Mini-Con event, scheduled for October 4, 2023. This exchange not only offers a cost-effective alternative for Halloween celebrators but also aims to reduce waste by keeping costumes in use and out of local landfills.
