Residents of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, are celebrating significant lottery wins after the Pennsylvania Lottery announced two major prizes on January 1, 2024. A winning scratch-off ticket worth $5 million was sold, alongside four top-prize tickets valued at $1 million each from the New Year’s Millionaire Raffle.
In Delaware County, the winning scratch-off ticket was a MONOPOLY Own It All Scratch-Off, purchased at the Giant supermarket located at 550 E. Lancaster Ave., Radnor Township. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The MONOPOLY game, which costs $50 to play, offers players the chance to win top prizes of $5 million.
According to the Pennsylvania Lottery, scratch-off prizes expire one year from the game’s end-sale date, which can be found on their website at palottery.com. Winners are advised to sign the back of their tickets immediately and call the Lottery at 1-800-692-7481 to claim their prizes. Notably, the Lottery does not know the location of winning tickets until after the prizes are claimed, as scratch-off tickets are distributed randomly.
In addition to the scratch-off win, four tickets from the New Year’s Millionaire Raffle, each worth $1 million, were sold across Luzerne, Westmoreland, Lycoming, and Delaware counties. The winning ticket numbers are 00412491, 00303148, 00188872, and 00119100. In Delaware County, the winning ticket was sold by Manoa Beverage at 1111 West Chester Pike, Haverford Township, which is set to receive a $5,000 bonus for the sale.
The Millionaire Raffle featured a total of 6,000 winning numbers, randomly selected from 500,000 tickets sold between November 4 and December 30, 2023. Winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes, and tickets must be validated before winners can be officially identified. Players are encouraged to sign their winning tickets promptly.
To claim a $1 million prize, winners must present their tickets at any Pennsylvania Lottery Area Office. Currently, the PA Lottery Headquarters in Middletown is closed to the public, but other area offices are open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.. It is recommended that winners make appointments by visiting palottery.com or by calling 1-800-692-7481.
