
Fritzie F. Will, a cherished member of the Farmington community, passed away on September 25, 2025, at the age of 76. Known for her dedication to family and her active role in her church, she leaves behind a legacy of love and service.
Born on January 25, 1949, in Doe Run, Missouri, Fritzie was the daughter of the late Fredrick and Florence M. (Gibson) Zimmerman. She attended Doe Run School until the 11th grade before graduating from Farmington High School in 1967. Fritzie married her high school sweetheart, Jerry R. Will, on May 18, 1968, and together they raised two children, Patricia L. (Will) Weddle and Jerry R. Will, Jr.
A Life of Service and Family
Fritzie was a beloved figure in her family, who included three grandchildren: Mitchell Weddle, Camryn R. Will, and Jerry R. “Trey” Will, III, along with one great-grandchild, Belken Weddle. The family also included her brother, Patrick Zimmerman, and several brothers and sisters-in-law.
Throughout her life, Fritzie was known for her cake decorating skills and her unwavering commitment to her faith. As a devoted member of the Open Heart Assembly Church, she contributed significantly to various ministries. Her roles included Sunday school teacher, BGMC Director, and leader for children’s church and vacation Bible school. Fritzie dedicated over three decades to the children’s ministry and spent forty years helping at kids’ camp.
In addition to her church activities, she was involved in numerous community initiatives, serving as a genealogy group leader, crafter, and quilt maker. Fritzie treasured spending time with her family, enjoying holidays and travel, which contributed to her vibrant personality and community connections.
Farewell and Tributes
Visitation for Fritzie will take place on September 29, 2025, at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a continuation of visitation on the morning of the funeral service. The service will be held at 10 a.m. on September 30, with Rev. Kevin Davis officiating. Following the service, interment will occur at Doe Run Memorial Cemetery.
