Mary Baucum Genson, an esteemed member of the Oxford, Georgia community, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the age of 88. A native of Carriere, Mississippi, Genson leaves behind a legacy of love and family, remembered fondly by her children, grandchildren, and many relatives.
Surviving her are her daughter, Cicinda Richardson of Woodstock, Georgia, and her son, Rex Genson of Oxford. Genson is also survived by four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews who cherished her deeply.
The community will gather to honor her life during a funeral service scheduled for Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 14:00 at Crowell Brothers, Peachtree Chapel, located at 5051 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Peachtree Corners, Georgia. Following the service, burial will take place at Peachtree Memorial Park.
Genson’s contributions to her family and community are remembered with great affection. Friends and family are encouraged to come together to celebrate her life and the impact she made on those around her.
