The community of Hometown, Pennsylvania, remembers Gloria Bouch, who passed away at her home on August 9, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on July 24, 1950, in Hazleton, she was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, known for her warmth and love of family.

Gloria was the daughter of the late Lucy (Fazio) and Harvey McAfee. She graduated from Hazleton Area High School in the class of 1969. Throughout her life, she was deeply devoted to her family, including her beloved pets, Jack and Jill.

A Life Filled with Passions and Interests

Gloria had a variety of interests that enriched her life. She was an avid learner, particularly fascinated by history, with a special interest in ancient Egypt. Her passion for the subject was reflected in her enjoyment of the film The Mummy. In addition to her love for history, Gloria had a profound appreciation for music, with a particular fondness for the Beatles.

Her affinity for animals extended beyond her pets to wildlife, especially raccoons and tigers. Friends and family often described her as a “beautiful soul inside and out,” a sentiment that resonates with those who knew her.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Jacob Bouch, and two daughters: Margie Minahan, wife of James Minahan, of Mahanoy Plane, and Stacy Malinowski, wife of Matthew Malinowski, of Turkey Run. She leaves behind five grandchildren—Stephen, Michelle, Zack Justin, and Noella—as well as two great-grandchildren, Arianna and Zander. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Gloria’s life will be honored during a funeral service at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, at 11:00 AM on August 15, 2025.
