Milton “Huck” Thomas Walker, aged 94, passed away on September 14, 2025, leaving a legacy of service and community involvement. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, he was the son of the late William Thomas and Bessie J. Walker. Walker’s life was marked by dedication to his family, military service, and commitment to his local community.

A veteran of the Air Force, Walker served during the Korean War, a period that shaped his values of duty and honor. After his military service, he spent over 30 years as a branch manager for Life of Virginia, where he was known for his leadership and dedication to his work. Upon retiring, he devoted his time to volunteering at the Woodland Heights Baptist Church in Chesapeake, where he was an active member of the congregation.

Golf was a passion for Walker, and he was a long-time member of the Greenbrier Country Club. His love for the sport was evident in his social interactions, where he often shared stories of his golfing experiences with friends and family.

Walker was predeceased by several family members, including his brothers and sister, his daughter Deborah Walker Johnson, and his great-grandson, Orlando J. Reed. He is survived by his granddaughter, Stacy Miller; her husband, Jacob Ross; grandson, John R. Miller, III; and his great-grandchildren, Lydia and Eli Ross. His family reflects on his life with gratitude and love, cherishing the memories they created together.

A service celebrating Walker’s life will take place on October 10, 2025, at 2 PM at the Graham Funeral Home, located at 1112 Kempsville Rd., Chesapeake. The service will be officiated by Rev. Dr. Kenneth Barnes. Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects.
