Deborah C. “Debi” Cesarine, a long-time resident of Ridley Park, passed away on October 8, 2025, at Rosewood Gardens. She was 71 years old and was known for her deep ties to the community and her love for family. Born to the late Robert and Doris Fritz Hardy, Debi spent her entire life in Ridley Park, where she was a beloved figure.

Debi graduated from Ridley High School in the class of 1972 and later attended Bloomsburg University. Her professional career included a significant tenure as a claim adjuster for Prudential Insurance Company, where she was known for her dedication and work ethic. Beyond her professional life, Debi was an active member of the Ridley Park Baptist Church, where she contributed to the community.

Passions and Personal Life

An avid sports fan, Debi supported both the Philadelphia Phillies and the Eagles, often attending games and celebrating victories with family and friends. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her frequent trips to the beach and her enjoyment of day trips with loved ones. Debi also engaged in activities like completing Sudoku puzzles, which showcased her love for mental challenges.

Debi cherished her pets, particularly her cats, Mittens and Striker. However, the most important aspect of her life was her family. She was the devoted wife of the late Thomas R. Cesarine and the cherished mother of Krista M. Cesarine. Debi also had close relationships with lifelong friends, including Raymond Frese and Barbara Sekscinski, and was survived by her nephew Stephen Cesarine, her aunt Ruth Madison, and her cousin Fran Dumigan.

Final Arrangements and Community Support

In recognition of Debi’s contributions to the community and the joy she brought to those around her, her family has expressed gratitude to the nurses and staff at Rosewood Gardens for their compassionate care during her final days. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:30 AM on October 18, 2025, at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home located at 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park. Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects starting at 9:30 AM.

Following the service, Debi will be laid to rest at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her family has requested that memorial gifts be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or the Ridley Park Police Association, emphasizing the importance of community support in honoring Debi’s legacy.
