The bond between Annie and her sister Mary was profound. More than just siblings, they shared a lifelong friendship marked by unwavering support and affection. Annie and Mary lived as roommates for many years, fostering a unique companionship that few could emulate. Born in Shenandoah to the late Thomas and Loretta Flannery, Annie was the youngest of three siblings. She was preceded in death by her brother Tom Flannery and her sister-in-law Mary Catherine Flannery. After graduating from Cardinal Brennan High School, she earned a Bachelor of Science from Penn State University and a Master of Science from Bloomsburg University. Annie worked as a certified reading specialist in the Shenandoah parochial schools, impacting the lives of many students.
Annie is survived by her sister Mary Flannery, her brothers Francis and Michael, and her brother John and his wife Maria. Additionally, cousin Ellen Selgrade and her husband Bo, along with a host of nieces and nephews, continue to honor her memory.
