The renowned circus company Cirque du Soleil has unveiled its latest production, titled “Echo,” in San Francisco, offering audiences a unique blend of fantasy and acrobatics. Located just a few blocks from Oracle Park, the show features a striking blue and white big top tent that has quickly become a landmark for both locals and visitors.
“Echo” revolves around a massive cube that symbolizes a planet, where the protagonist, named Future, embarks on a journey to restore her world. Throughout the performance, Future encounters various characters and animals who join her quest to rebuild their planet piece by piece. Each act presents a different segment of the cube, which Future must collect to achieve her goal.

Director Mukhtar Omar Sharif Mukhtar emphasized the show’s innovative approach, stating, “The creative intention for Echo was to try and create something our fans haven’t experienced yet in a big top.” This fresh perspective is evident as the story evolves, incorporating a diverse range of acts, from contortionists to aerialists, all contributing to the reconstruction of the fantasy world.
