Finally, Atherton recommends the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel as an excellent small breed. He suggests that choosing Cavaliers over more demanding breeds, such as Cocker Spaniels or Jack Russells, can prevent various behavioural challenges. “I think they’re one of the best small breeds on the planet,” he remarked.
